- 500 g Bruismeel
- 1 Pakkie dik wit uiesop
- ’n Knippie knoffelsout
- 100 g Gerasperde kaas
- 500 ml Karringmelk
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Meng alles deeglik en plaas in ’n goedgesmeerde broodpan.
- Dit rys baie goed, so sorg dat die broodpan groot genoeg is.
- Bak vir een uur en tien minute by 180°C.

- 1/2 Pak Spirals
- 1 Pakkie Italiaanse slaaisous
- 1 Groengroper
- 2 Rooi appels
- 3 Stingels seldery

- 125 ml Mayonaise
- 250 g Spek
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Kook pasta tot sag.
- Kap alle groente fyn en meng saam met die pasta.
- Braai spek en voeg by.
- Meng met slaaisous en mayonaise.
- Laat afkoel voor opdiening.
Tuna Lasagne
Ingredients
- 1 Packet noodles
- 1 T Oil
- 2 Onions
- 1 Packet frozen tomato and onion
- 3 Tins tuna
- 1 Tin tomato soup
- 1 Tin water
- 5 ml Garlic
- 10 ml Oregano
- Salt and pepper
- 800 ml Milk
- 500 g Grated cheese
- 250 ml Cream
- 1 Tin mushrooms
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Boil noodles in water with oil till soft. Drain and layer into large oven pan.
- Chop and fry onions. Add frozen tomato mix. Add tomato soup and water. Bring to boil.
- Add tuna. Add seasoning. Layer on noodles.
- Make white sauce with milk. Add cheese, cream and mushrooms.
- Layer cheese sauce on top. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.

Ingredients
- 250 g Cream cheese or cottage cheese
- 2 C Milk
- 1 Packet instant pudding (pineapple or lemon)
- 1 Biscuit pie crust
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Soften cheese and blend with 1/2 of the milk.
- Add remaining milk and pudding mixture.
- Beat slowly until mixed.
- Pour into pie crust and sprinkle biscuit crumbs on top.
- Chill one hour.

- 1/2 lb Botter
- 1/2 t Kremetart
- 2 K Suiker
- 3 Eiers
- 1 t Koeksoda
- 1/2 K Melk
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Vryf meel, suiker, botter en kremetart goed met vingers.
- Voeg eiers by.
- Voeg koeksoda by melk en voeg by meelmengsel.
- Rol dit uit en bak in ’n vinnige oond.
Chocolate Chiffon Cake
Ingredients
- 1 C Flour
- 1 C Sugar
- 2 t Baking powder
- 1/2 C Oil
- 1/2 C Hot water
- Pinch of salt
- 1 t Rum essence
- 2 T Cocoa
- 4 Eggs (separated)
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Sift dry ingredients (except 1 t baking powder).
- Add hot water and oil, stir into dry ingredients.
- Add rum essence to yolks and beat lightly, stir into mixture.
- Beat egg whites & 1 t baking powder until firm.
- Fold into mixture and divide into 2 x 20 cm pans (ungreased).
- Bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes.

- Suurlemoensap
- 1/4 t Kremetart

Stroop
- Stroop hoef nie koud te wees nie.
Fluffy Sandwich Cake
Ingredients
- 2 C Flour
- 1 C Sugar
- 1/2 C Butter
- 1/4 C Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 3 t Baking powder
- Pinch of salt
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Cream sugar and butter.
- Add 1 egg yolk, beat well, add other yolk - beat well again.
- Add milk slowly, then half of flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add half of stiffly beaten whites.
- Add remainder of flour and whites. Add essence.
- Bake in moderate oven.
Gebakte Suurlemoenpoeding
Ingredients
- 3 E Botter
- 2 E Suiker
- 1/2 K Melk
- 2 Eiers
- 1 E Meelblom
- Sap en skil van 1 suurlemoen
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Klop botter en suiker tot romerig.
- Voeg geklitste eiergeel by.
- Meng goed en voeg ander bestanddele by, behalwe eierwitte.
- Vou geklitste eierwitte in en bak in ’n gesmeerde bak in ’n pan met warm water.
- Bak teen 180°C vir ongeveer 45 minute.
Hungarian Tart
Ingredients
- 1/4 lb Butter
- 2 T Sugar
- 2 T Oil
- Vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- 2 C Flour
- 2 t Baking powder
- 1/2 Tin Jam
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Cream butter with sugar.
- Add oil, vanilla essence, pinch of salt, and beaten egg.
- Knead into mixture 2 cups flour and 2 teaspoons baking powder.
- Grate 1/2 of the mixture coarsely into greased and floured tin.
- Spread stiff jam, grate remaining dough over jam.
- Bake in hot oven at 400°F (205°C).
Lamington Squares
Ingredients
- 1 K Melk
- 1 E Maizena
- 1 E Kakao
- 50 g Sagte botter
- 75 g Versiersuiker
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Kook die melk.
- Voeg die kakao, maizena, botter en versuiker by.
- Meng goed en laat afkoel.
- Gebruik enige sponskoek. Sny in vierkantige blokkies.
- Doop in sous en rol dan in klapper.
Plaat Koekies (Crumpets)
Ingredients
- 4 E Suiker
- 2 K Meel
- 1 E Gesmelte botter
- 2 Eiers
- 4 t Bakpoeier
- Knippie sout
- Melk
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Meng suiker en eiers tot room.
- Voeg gesmelte botter by. Meng goed.
- Meng melk, bakpoeier en sout.
- Meng nou alles met melk tot ’n slap deeg.
- Bak eetlepels vol op ’n warm plaat.
- Bedien warm met botter + stroop of heuning.
Scrunchies
Ingredients
- 2 C Oats
- 1 C Flour
- 1/2 C Syrup
- 1 C Coconut
- 1/2 C Sugar
- 1 t Bicarbonate of soda
- 1/4 lb Butter or margarine
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Melt syrup and butter to boiling point.
- Add bicarbonate of soda and stir until it froths.
- Rub dry ingredients together and add syrup mixture.
- Shape into balls and bake on double baking sheets (greased) and allow for spreading.
- Oven at 180°C.
Sherbet (Soekie)
Ingredients
- 1/2 t Wynsteensuur of kremetart
- 1/2 t Koeksoda
- 2 E Versiersuiker

Venetian Tart
Ingredients
- 2 T Butter
- 2 T Baking powder
- 2 C Flour
- 1/4 C Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- Salt
- Water to make a stiff dough
- Filling: 1 L Milk
- Filling: 1/2 C Sugar
- Filling: 1 t Vanilla
- Filling: 2 Heaped T Flour
- Filling: 2 T Maizena
- Filling: 1 Egg
- Filling: 1 T Butter
How it's done
✎ Edit recipe- Tart:
- Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, then flour, baking powder, salt, and water.
- Divide into 7 parts. Roll thinly and place in layer-cake tins.
- Bake in moderate oven for 5 minutes.
- filling:
- Heat milk and sugar.
- Blend flour, maizena, and a little milk.
- Stir into boiling milk.
- Remove from stove, stir in butter and egg quickly.
- Add vanilla essence.
- Cool and spread between 6 layers. Crumb the 7th layer over top and sides.
