  2. Dit rys baie goed, so sorg dat die broodpan groot genoeg is.
  3. Bak vir een uur en tien minute by 180°C.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Pak Spirals
  • 1 Pakkie Italiaanse slaaisous
  • 1 Groengroper
  • 2 Rooi appels
  • 3 Stingels seldery

  • 250 g Spek

  4. Meng met slaaisous en mayonaise.

Tuna Lasagne

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet noodles
  • 1 T Oil
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 Packet frozen tomato and onion
  • 3 Tins tuna
  • 1 Tin tomato soup
  • 1 Tin water
  • 5 ml Garlic
  • 10 ml Oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • 800 ml Milk
  • 500 g Grated cheese
  • 250 ml Cream
  • 1 Tin mushrooms

  1. Boil noodles in water with oil till soft. Drain and layer into large oven pan.
  2. Chop and fry onions. Add frozen tomato mix. Add tomato soup and water. Bring to boil.
  3. Add tuna. Add seasoning. Layer on noodles.
  4. Make white sauce with milk. Add cheese, cream and mushrooms.
  5. Layer cheese sauce on top. Sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.

Busy Day Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 250 g Cream cheese or cottage cheese
  • 2 C Milk
  • 1 Packet instant pudding (pineapple or lemon)
  • 1 Biscuit pie crust

  1. Soften cheese and blend with 1/2 of the milk.
  2. Add remaining milk and pudding mixture.
  3. Beat slowly until mixed.
  4. Pour into pie crust and sprinkle biscuit crumbs on top.

  • 1 C Flour
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 2 t Baking powder
  • 1/2 C Oil
  • 1/2 C Hot water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 t Rum essence
  • 2 T Cocoa
  • 4 Eggs (separated)

  1. Sift dry ingredients (except 1 t baking powder).
  2. Add hot water and oil, stir into dry ingredients.
  3. Add rum essence to yolks and beat lightly, stir into mixture.
  4. Beat egg whites & 1 t baking powder until firm.
  5. Fold into mixture and divide into 2 x 20 cm pans (ungreased).
  6. Bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes.

Fluffy Sandwich Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 C Flour
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1/2 C Butter
  • 1/4 C Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 t Baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

  1. Cream sugar and butter.
  2. Add 1 egg yolk, beat well, add other yolk - beat well again.
  3. Add milk slowly, then half of flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add half of stiffly beaten whites.
  5. Add remainder of flour and whites. Add essence.
  6. Bake in moderate oven.

  • Sap en skil van 1 suurlemoen

  3. Meng goed en voeg ander bestanddele by, behalwe eierwitte.
  4. Vou geklitste eierwitte in en bak in ’n gesmeerde bak in ’n pan met warm water.
  5. Bak teen 180°C vir ongeveer 45 minute.

Hungarian Tart

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb Butter
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 2 T Oil
  • Vanilla essence
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • 2 C Flour
  • 2 t Baking powder
  • 1/2 Tin Jam

  1. Cream butter with sugar.
  2. Add oil, vanilla essence, pinch of salt, and beaten egg.
  3. Knead into mixture 2 cups flour and 2 teaspoons baking powder.
  4. Grate 1/2 of the mixture coarsely into greased and floured tin.
  5. Spread stiff jam, grate remaining dough over jam.
  6. Bake in hot oven at 400°F (205°C).

  • 1 E Kakao
  • 50 g Sagte botter
  • 75 g Versiersuiker

Ingredients

  • 2 C Oats
  • 1 C Flour
  • 1/2 C Syrup
  • 1 C Coconut
  • 1/2 C Sugar
  • 1 t Bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/4 lb Butter or margarine

  1. Melt syrup and butter to boiling point.
  2. Add bicarbonate of soda and stir until it froths.
  3. Rub dry ingredients together and add syrup mixture.
  4. Shape into balls and bake on double baking sheets (greased) and allow for spreading.
  5. Oven at 180°C.

Venetian Tart

Ingredients

  • 2 T Butter
  • 2 T Baking powder
  • 2 C Flour
  • 1/4 C Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • Water to make a stiff dough
  • Filling: 1 L Milk
  • Filling: 1/2 C Sugar
  • Filling: 1 t Vanilla
  • Filling: 2 Heaped T Flour
  • Filling: 2 T Maizena
  • Filling: 1 Egg
  • Filling: 1 T Butter

  1. Tart:
  2. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, then flour, baking powder, salt, and water.
  3. Divide into 7 parts. Roll thinly and place in layer-cake tins.
  4. Bake in moderate oven for 5 minutes.
  5. filling:
  6. Heat milk and sugar.
  7. Blend flour, maizena, and a little milk.
  8. Stir into boiling milk.
  9. Remove from stove, stir in butter and egg quickly.
  10. Add vanilla essence.
  11. Cool and spread between 6 layers. Crumb the 7th layer over top and sides.
